Built in the cliffs above La Clusaz, this via ferrata is just perfect to get started in this sport from Italy.La Clusaz is well known for its typical village and its varied activities. This pretty resort has one of the most beautiful courses in Haute Savoie. The via ferrata of La Clusaz is located near the Col des Aravis and runs along the rocks of Borderan, intelligently following successive systems of ledges.

Schedule of the Via Ferrata de La Clusaz outing:

Once equipped with the specific equipment: helmet, harness and absorbent lanyards, we take the 20-minute access path. Some instructions are given by your guide. Then we attack the first meters along the cable which will ensure our safety throughout the course thanks to the use of absorbent lanyards. We slowly gain altitude which allows us to get used to the presence of the void.

The judiciously placed bars are there to help us so much that it is absolutely not necessary to have practiced climbing to venture into the via ferrata of La Clusaz. A pretty Tibetan bridge adds a few sensations before continuing quietly to the Borderan ridge. Then you will have the choice between an easy exit or a small overhang to finish. The panorama of the Aravis pass and the Beaufortain is splendid.

A pleasant path takes us back to the start (40 min), we then realize the difference in altitude that we have covered in the via ferrata (about 300m).
