The small Aravis massif offers a particularly suitable relief and abundant snow.
It is therefore precisely that over the years, the practice of ski touring in the Aravis has become essential! A few kilometers from Annecy, this massif offers a quantity of incredible routes. The fairly rugged limestone relief presents many valleys and beautiful slopes with really interesting orientations for the hiker.
There are many classic routes around La Clusaz but I also invite you to discover other less traveled places. The start of the hikes is at altitudes close to 1000m and the routes offer 700 to 1400m of elevation gain despite everything. The landscape is typical of the Prealps with beautiful peaks overlooking the mountain pastures and forests.
Why use a guide to practice ski touring in the Aravis?
Having spent about ten years in the massif, I am very familiar with the different hiking possibilities and I could choose the most suitable routes. My training and experience as a high mountain guide allow me to understand the risks that novices might miss.
What kind of ski touring outing is offered?
Some hikers are more in landscape discovery mode, others are looking to acquire autonomy and some are looking for sporting performance with a significant difference in altitude or a technical descent. A short discussion before choosing the location of the outing will allow me to choose the location and the route that will be the most suitable.
Whether you are a beginner off-piste or an expert on the slopes, alone or with friends, you will have an incredible day!
