Explore the magnificent northern ridge of the Tournette, between hiking and climbing, to reach one of the most beautiful panoramas in the region.

Description of the Northern Ridge of the Tournette:

Approach: Starting from the Pré rond car park (or higher up with a 4×4: from the Col de L’Aulp), we begin the classic path up to the Tournette via the Montmin slope. After 45 minutes, equipped with harnesses, we leave the busy path to begin a crossing on a vague path in “Chamois” terrain where you have to stay focused.
The ridge: The difficulty increases and it is now roped to your guide that the adventure continues. You have to climb a few easy rocks then cross to calmly reach the ridge itself. The view of the Varo slope is impressive. We follow the thread of the northern ridge of the Tournette and pass some fun sections where you sometimes have to progress astride in aerial passages.
Arriving at the first peak, a small abseil (avoidable) allows us to continue our fantastic ride towards the summit. The last peak descends via magnificent 4* rock passages to reach the Col des Varo.
The summit: From the pass, we join the classic path which overlooks the summit and its fantastic panorama of Lake Annecy, the Aravis and Mont Blanc.
The descent: 1h30 of descent and we are back at the car park.
